Steps for setting up access to the G-REX System

Access to the G-REX System may be requested in particular by renewable gas producers, gas suppliers, gas consumers, and other Account Holders who wish to be registered in the Registry of Renewable Gases by completing the relevant Application Form. Before creating an Account in the G-REX System, it is necessary to conclude a Contract with SPP – distribúcia, a.s. on activities related to the issuance and use of Guarantees of Origin of renewable gases. In the case of a new applicant, the Application for the conclusion of the Contract shall be submitted by the applicant no later than 30 working days before the expected date of entry into force of the G-REX Contract.

In the case of a transfer of a Guarantee of Origin of renewable gas from a Registry in an EU Member State that is not connected to ERGaR Hub (ExtraVert Platform), it is necessary to request SPP – distribúcia, a.s. to recognise the Guarantee of Origin using the Form.

The issuance, transfer, and application (cancellation) of Guarantees of Origin are only possible after creating an account in the G-REX System. In the case of recognition and transfer of a Guarantee of Origin from a Member State whose Registry is not connected to the ERGaR Hub (ExtraVert Platform), SPP – distribúcia, a.s. will transfer the recognised Guarantee of Origin to the Holder’s Account in the G-REX Registry from a separate Account.

When accessing the G-REX System for the first time, the Account Holder is required to check the data recorded by SPP – distribúcia, a.s. In the event of a change in the data of an existing Account Holder, the Account Holder shall immediately notify the required change by e-mail. In the event of a change to the IBAN account number, the Account Holder shall notify the required change in writing, signed by the Account Holder’s statutory body, to the registered office of SPP – distribúcia, a.s.
